“Explorer”- between 14 - 24 years old

• Visit more of the East Coast, the UK or explore abroad!
• No sailing experience needed.

Itinerary

Our Explorer voyages run depending on our programme, these can last anywhere between 4 to 10 days and start/finish anywhere in the UK or Europe. This makes it hard to be specific about the itinerary.

These voyages usually involve a mixture of short day sails, exploring the English or European coast and some longer passages where you will be at sea and possibly out of sight of land overnight. During this time you will work in teams (or “watches” to use the sailing term) to sail the boat. You will of course also be cooking, eating, sleeping and having fun whilst the boat is at sea.

You will sail from port to port on the east coast on some challenging day sails and may also get to experience some night sailing.

Our 5+ day explorer voyages count towards either an RYA Start Yachting or Competent Crew certificate. 5 day voyages may also qualify for your Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential.
